This Tea Bowl is wheel thrown porcelain with a cut rim, creating soft undulating movement. A strong foot is trimmed into each pot giving a comfortable lift off the table. The interior is lined with food safe glaze made from wild clay. The exterior is covered with flashing slip that reacts with the soda fire atmosphere, developing a matte soda glaze while recording the flame’s path through the kiln at 2250 degrees. Non-glassy textures are sanded with fine grit diamond pads post firing giving a luscious texture to the matt clay surface.
